Drink driver

A 55-YEAR-old woman has been banned from driving after she was caught drink driving in Andover.

Lisa Robertson was stopped while driving a Renault on Mullens Pond on January 9 while over the limit. She had 66 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath – the legal limit is 35.

Robertson, of Erith in Kent, pleaded guilty to the offence and was disqualified from driving for 15 months. She was also fined £120 and must pay £34 court costs, along with a £25 victim surcharge.

Warrant issued

A WARRANT has been issued for the arrest of an Andover woman accused of drug driving.

Victoria Mayer, of Michaelmas Drove, Weyhill, is alleged to have been stopped on Foxcotte Lane on August 14 while under the influence of cocaine, at a level of 24ug/L, which exceeded the legal limit of 10.

She is also accused of having 200ug/L of benzoylecgonine - a metabolite of cocaine – in her blood - the legal limit is 50.

Driving ban

AN ANDOVER man has been disqualified after he was caught drug driving.

Christopher Machin was stopped on River Way on September 4, last year. It was found that he had 3.3ug/L of Delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) in his blood – the legal limit is two.

The 43-year-old admitted to the offence during a hearing at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court.

Magistrates banned him from driving for 12 months and fined him £120. Machin must also pay £40 court costs and a £34 victim surcharge.

Unpaid work

A 22-YEAR-old woman has been told to do unpaid work after a raft of offences took place in Andover.

Chloe Miller, of High Street in Shirrell Heath, appeared at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court where she admitted to six offences.

On July 11, year, she assaulted a person occasioning them actual bodily harm. She was ordered to pay them £100 compensation.

She also assaulted two police officers, one of which she also used racially/religiously aggravated words with intent to cause harassment/alarm/distress – Miller also admitted to the same offence on another person. She must pay £50 to two of the victims.

The court was told that Miller damaged a police transit van on the same day.

Magistrates ordered the attacker to carry out 160 hours unpaid work and she must abstain from alcohol for 60 days.

She must also complete 20 rehabilitation days.
