AN ANDOVER firm is the only business in the county to specialise in fitting canal boats.
SolSeeker Boats, based at Harewood Farm, Andover Down - on the outskirts of the town - fits out brand new narrowbeam and widebeam canal boats.
The company prides itself on being a “friendly boat company”, with all handmade designs and offering everything from the boating necessities, to “all the bells and whistles”.
Director Joanne Ashley told the Advertiser: “Our boats are not your usual ‘Rosie and Jim’ fit outs. We specialise in being creative with the materials we use, and no two boats are the same!”
She continued: “We offer a bespoke service to achieve exactly what our clients want, to a very high standard. We believe we are the only canal boat fitter in Hampshire, and we pride ourselves on a friendly ,open approach with all of our clients.”
Joanne is joined at the company by her husband, Don Ashley, who is a fully qualified carpenter, and their friend Kevin Perry.
The company also has one ‘staff’ member who is particularly popular with clients.
Jo added: “We also have a four-legged site manager called Luna, who oversees the work and makes sure it is up to our usual high standards!”
