TAKE your seat for a new comedy thriller coming to The Lights in Andover later this month.

Multi-award-winning New Old Friends are at it again, as they return to Andover on Tuesday, March 15.

They will be bringing the next instalment in their hugely popular crime series of comedy thrillers.

The production, which this time is called Crimes, Camera, Action hopes to successfully whisk the audience back to the golden-era of Hollywood.

The show will introduce a new lead detective, a world-weary, hard-boiled private-eye in the mould of Humphrey Bogart: meet Stan Shakespeare.

The exciting production will tell the story of a screen starlet who is stabbed because of a prop mix-up on set.

It sets in motion a typically fast paced and hilarious chain of events that sees a cast of four exceptional comic actors take on multiple roles, sometimes within the same scene.

Audiences can expect the usual New Old Friends mix of fun including great theatrical set pieces, the quickest of quick changes, lightning-fast word play and a thrilling plot driving the action at a breakneck pace.

New Old Friends have been creating work since 2008 and are known for always producing engaging, accessible shows that always make people laugh.

They last visited The Lights back in September 2021, with their production of Crimes In Egypt.

The hugely popular independent company have received wonderful praise for the series.

“Celebrations of theatricality low budget aplomb worth of The 39 Steps,” said The Times.

Meanwhile the Exeunt Magazine, said: “It’s a proper Good Night Out, cannily conceived and impeccably made.”

This fast-paced crime thriller will be coming to The Lights for one night only in March, so residents are encouraged to not miss out on an evening packed full of hilarious adventures.
