AN ANDOVER man has been banned from getting behind the wheel after he was caught drink driving.

Ryan Vickers, of Tintagel Close, was caught on the A343 Newbury Road on December 22, last year, he had 164 milligrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood – the legal limit is 80.

During a hearing at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court the 29-year-old pleaded guilty to the offence.

He was disqualified from driving for 18 months and fined £392. Vickers must also pay £85 court costs and a £39 victim surcharge.

An uninsured driver who was caught behind the wheel while over the drug drive limit has been disqualified.

Martin Wesley, of Maize Close, Andover, was stopped while driving a Ford Focus on the A30 at Bullington on November 21, last year.

He had not less than 236 ug/l of namely Benzoylecgonine in his blood – the legal limit is 50.

He was also found to be driving without insurance and without a licence.

During a magistrates court hearing the 36-year-old pleaded guilty to the three offences.

Magistrates fined Wesley £120 and disqualified him from driving for 24 months. He must also pay £40 court costs and a £34 victim surcharge.

A drink driver caught in Andover has been disqualified from getting behind the wheel for 24 months.

Mark Palmer was stopped while driving in West Street on February 15, he had 94 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath – the legal limit is 35.

During a magistrates court hearing the 39-year-old, of Windbury Road, Southampton, admitted the offence.

He was also fined £300, and must pay £85 court costs along with a £34 victim surcharge.

An Andover man who was caught behind the wheel while over the drug drive limit has been disqualified.

Jeddy Trembath, of Galahad Close, was caught driving on Walworth Road, Andover, on October 31, last year. He had 7.0µg of Delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) in his blood – the legal limit is two.

During a hearing at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court, the 28-year-old pleaded guilty to the offence,

He was fined £360 and disqualified from driving for 12 months. He must also pay £85 court costs and a £36 victim surcharge.

A further charge of possessing 150g of cannabis was withdrawn.
