SOUTHAMPTON man Mark Palmer has been banned for drink driving in Andover.
Palmer, 39, of Windbury Road, Millbrook, was stopped by the police on West Street in Andover on February 15, a court heard.
He was breath tested and returned an alcohol reading of 94 micrograms in 100 millilitres of breath when the legal limit is 35, making him nearly three times the limit. He pleaded guilty.
Sitting at Basingstoke Magistrates Court district judge Tim Pattinson disqualified Palmer from the road for two years, fined him £300 and ordered he pay £85 costs and a £34 victim surcharge.
The ban will be reduced by 24 weeks if he passes an approved course by July 16 2023.
