A ROAD closure is in place this afternoon (Wednesday, March 23) due to a vehicle fire near Popham Services.
The incident has occured on the A303 westbound, and the road is closed from the M3/A30 junction.

An official diversion route is in place, with drivers being directed to Junction 9, and then north on the A34 to Bullington Cross to rejoin the A303 westbound.
A Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "Rushmoor, Andover, Eastleigh and Whitchurch firefighters were called at 15:38 this afternoon (23/03/22) to a lorry fire on the A303 westbound near Micheldever.
"The vehicle was carrying a large amount of compost and the fire was put out using two hose reels and two compressed air foam systems jets.
"Crews remain on scene to dampen down."
