AN ANDOVER man has been hit with points on his licence for failing to help police identify a driver of a vehicle in South Gloucestershire.

Emmanuel Angol failed to give Avon and Somerset Constabulary the identification of a driver who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence on June 6, last year.

The offence was dealt with by single justice procedure – where a magistrate judges the case on the basis of the papers alone without either party having to attend court for a hearing.
