SIX nurses from a Hospice Trust in Andover are teaming up to compete in an obstacle race and raise money for their organisation.

Nurses from The Countess of Brecknock Hospice (CoBH) at the Andover War Memorial Hospital are planning to do a 10k obstacle race at Matterley Estate in Winchester on April 3.

The amazing staff who are taking part in the challenge are Lorna Cousins, Katie Bolton, Becky Lee, Laura Patterson, Alyson Bradford and Sarah McGaughey.

The race is organised by Tough Enough Races.

Alyson, one of the nurses taking part in the challenge, said they have known each other for over year now, and they feel incredible to do the challenge together.

“The money that we make, helps to make a difference to supporting our patients and their families,” Alyson said.

"We are all excited to do this together. It's a brilliant team effort from the CoBH. From what started as 'I would like to do a challenge this year' has ended up as a team challenge, together supporting each other.

"We will all be starting together and finishing together, no one left behind.

"The hospice provides a much needed service to the local community. As a team we care for our patients and their families passionately. Money raised will continue us to support families for the extras that help at their saddest moments."
