BUSINESSES in Andover will have extra time to sign up for the town’s Platinum Jubilee window dressing competition.
As previously reported, Andover Town Council and Andover BID are working together on a ‘Best Dressed Window’ competition as part of an array of events being laid on for the platinum jubilee.
Following feedback from the businesses, they have decided to extend the deadline to Friday, May 20, to give businesses enough time to plan it properly.
Celebratory bunting has been ordered, to ensure that all town centre business at the very least can have some in their windows.
Members of the public will be encouraged to vote for their favourite window via all the usual Andover BID social media channels and the organising team will take photos of all competing windows and add them to the BID and town council websites along with an online voting form.
The winner will be announced on Wednesday, June 1.
Celebratory bunting will also be draped across the High Street from specific anchor points from the same date, for a two-week period.
