POLICE have issued an appeal after items including jewellery and cash were stolen from a house in Monxton.

Between 9.10am and 10.20am on Wednesday, June 8, when the occupants were out, entry was forced to the property on Andover Road via a rear patio door and a number of items were stolen, including jewellery and a quantity of cash.

Two men were seen walking away from the area towards Chalkpit Lane at around the time of the incident.

The first man is described as wearing a blue face mask and jeans.

The second man is described as wearing a hat and a dark jumper. It is believed he was holding something under his jumper.

Officers would like to hear from anyone with information that may assist their enquiries.

A spokesperson said: "Did you see two men in the area at the time? Do you have private CCTV including ring doorbell footage that may have captured something? Perhaps you were driving in the area and have dash-cam footage?"
