AN ANDOVER man has been fined more than £200 for drug driving in Ludgershall with more than the legal limit of a cannabinoid in his system.

On November 28 2021, Alfie Lewis Appleton of Pilgrims Way was driving on Somme Road with not less than 3.3 micrograms of Delta-9-Tetrahydrocannabinol in one litre of blood.

The legal limit is 2 microgrammes per litre.

At South East Wiltshire Magistrates’ Court on June 7, the 21-year-old was handed a £263 fine, plus costs of £85 and a £34 surcharge - making a total of £282.

He was also disqualified from driving for 12 months.
