A BUSINESSWOMAN from Ludgershall is set to open a brand new hair and beauty salon in the village centre next month.

Hair by Laura is set to expand from its current home-working premises to the former bike shop unit on Ludgershall High Street from July 16.

Owner Laura-Lee Tokona said she “can’t wait” to launch the new salon.

Laura-Lee, who is originally from Wales, set up her business from her Ludgershall home around 18 months ago, when she moved to the area because her husband, who is in the military, was relocated.

The 31-year-old has been a hairdresser for 14 years, previously working in Wales, Germany and Australia.

The mother-of-two said: “I am just getting busier and busier. We just converted the bedroom at home, so it’s a lot smaller and I am looking forward to having more space.”

She added: “I can’t wait to just get in now - get everything done and get the doors open!

“I have had to refurbish the whole place, so it’s been a lot of work.

The salon will also employ another hairdresser on a self-employed basis, as well as a beauty therapist, which will allow them to offer a variety of services including micro-blading, massage and nails.

Laura-Lee is hoping to hold a launch event on the evening of July 15, and will also be offering customers £5 their first visit to the salon.
