A COUNTRY pub in Hampshire has been handed a new two-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

The Jack Russell Inn, in Netherton Hill, Faccombe, was given the score after assessment on Saturday, May 25, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

The Food Standards Agency's website shows the pub scored "improvement necessary" for its hygienic food handling, "generally satisfactory" for its cleanliness and condition of facilities and building and "generally satisfactory" for its management of food safety.

The Jack Russell Inn has been contacted for a comment.
