ANDOVER’S very first Carers Hub event took place in the town centre last week, offering support and guidance to those with caring responsibilities.

The Princess Royal Trust for carers in Hampshire and Andover Primary Care Network held the hub in the Chantry Centre.

The Carers Hub is a central point where many agencies come together to offer support, advice, information and guidance to all carers. This was the first of a number of events to be run in the town.

Carers can access relevant information to support their needs, and the needs of the person they care for. This can make a huge difference, as many carers struggle to navigate the maze of services and entitlements and miss out on financial and practical support.

Professionals from across Health and Social Care went along. Light refreshments were provided by Tesco Extra and Boswells Café.

If you would like any further information bout the charity or the carer’s hub,  call 01264 835246 or email info@carercentre.com.
