HAMPSHIRE residents are invited to grab their tickets now for the hottest shows at Anvil Arts this autumn.

The full autumn season at Anvil Arts in Basingstoke is now on sale, and with some shows already sold out including Jon Richardson, both performances of Tim Peake, and Anastacia, make sure you take a look at what is on at The Anvil, The Haymarket and The Forge, and book your tickets now.

There are still seats available for other popular shows including Nish Kumar (Fri 9 Sep) with Your Power, Your Control, which was postponed earlier in the year, and the extra afternoon performance by Andover Advertiser: Dawn FrenchDawn French (Anvil, Satuday, Oct 9), as the much-loved comedian and actress lets you in on some of her most embarrassing mistakes and misunderstandings.

The Illegal Eagles (Anvil, September 25) make a welcome return as they celebrate the music of the West Coast country rock band and feature the very best from the Eagles’ catalogue of huge hits including Hotel California, Desperado, and Take It Easy.

Dara O’Briain comes to the stage on October 26 with his brand new show So…Where Were We? in which he’ll fire out an hilarious mix of stories, one-liners, audience messing, and tripping over his words by talking too quicklResidents ‘furious’ as Aster charges them thousands for ‘unnecessary’ maintenance work of a Shakespeare play with one of the performers selected at random and given four hours to drink pre-show, revives the raucous, interactive and vibrant nature of Elizabethan theatre adding a very modern twist.

Selling fast are 10cc who make their way to The Anvil stage on October 29 whose hits include Rubber Bullets, Donna, Dreadlock Holiday, and the mega-hit I’m Not In Love.  Led by co-founder Graham Gouldman, he’ll be joined by Rick Fenn and Paul Burgess who have both been with the band since the seventies.

Rising comedy star Chris McCausland, a hit on Have I Got News for You, Would I Lie to You?, QI, The Last Leg and 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, brings his show Speaky Blinder to The Haymarket (Dec 16) with stories about life and family, and loads of other nonsense thrown in for good measure.

And, of course, don’t miss out on this year’s traditional family pantomime, Cinderella, at The Anvil from December 9 starring the lovely Debbie McGee and panto favourite Chris Pizzey, with laugh out loud jokes, stunning scenery and two gorgeous Shetland ponies.
