A FAMILY business in Hurstbourne Tarrant has celebrated a year since moving into a bigger showroom to keep up with demand.

Since starting in a workshop in his garden, Jack Swanborough alongside his wife Lydia have seen their business, Hustbourne Forge, constantly excel.

With the help of Jack's brother Harry, his mother Paula and father Andy, Hustbourne Forge in Brunel Gate is known for designing, making and selling pretty much everything made from metal.

They have now also started a new trade counter to help people with their DIY projects, as well as trade metals.

Jack said: "Our business has done really well since first starting, I am extremely happy. We see ourselves as a one stop shop where we can provide many different services and also offer any sort of advice on people's own projects through our new trade counter."

Hustbourne Forge produces everything in the workshop, aiming to work with local suppliers where possible.

When the nearest welding supplier went into liquidation recently, the family business decided to take on providing welding spares and offer a "pick and mix" option by weight for nuts, bolts and fixings as they realised customers often only want the specific number for a project, and are not always sure what they want or need.

The business offers welding consumables, gas, parts and machines, as well as metal cut to size and a full range of general fabrication services.

Some of the other services Hustbourne Forge offers are DIY projects; repairs and refurbishment of patio furniture, gates and railings; designing garden arches; wall art and sculptures; and parts for classic cars.

The family business will also be hosting their christmas market on Saturday November 26 at their workshop between 2pm and 6pm with other local crafts and their christmas range on display.
