It is set to be a packed autumn at the Army Flying Museum it Middle Wallop with a wide range of events taking place. 

The new programme of events will start with the next in the ‘Lockdown Lecture’ series.

One of the most and experienced test pilots in the world today, Chris Taylor, visits the museum on October 10 to present a talk on his unique and varied career in aviation, an event which will also be live-streamed from the museum.

For October half term, the museum will focus on all things ‘Space’ related, with some craft activities for children and families and an opportunity for visitors to the museum to view samples from the ‘Borrow the Moon’ box, including samples of moon rock and soil which were brought back to Earth by NASA's Apollo astronauts.

On November 11, a concert of remembrance will be staged in the Hayward Hall with the Middle Wallop and Andover Military Wives Choir taking centre stage. 

Choir secretary Fliss Stuart said: “Acts of Remembrance are incredibly important and poignant to us as a choir. We are therefore honoured to have been asked to perform a concert of remembrance at the Army Flying Museum"  

Two fairs are lined up for the weekend of November 26 and 27. On 26th, gift, craft and food providers will be kick starting the Christmas shopping period with the museum’s annual Christmas Fair. 

More than thirty stall holders will be available to browse, along with festive craft activities and trails for children. Sunday November 27 sees the staging of the Air Enthusiasts Fair when every nook and cranny of the museum will be packed full of stall holders for enthusiasts to browse.

December 3 sees a family event for the museum as Santa makes a flying visit. Children will meet and have their photo taken with Santa in the Scout Helicopter, along with festive craft activities from Feathered Skies, a scavenger hunt, refreshments and more to keep families entertained. 

On Saturday December 10, the Armed Forces Medical Band will stage their traditional festive concert at the museum.
