A CREW from Andover were called to reports of a "person falling from height" in Amesbury. 

Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service (DWFRS) was called to a property in Boscombe Road at around 10.40am on Wednesday, September 28. 

Crews from Salisbury along with appliances from Andover, Basingstoke and Eastleigh attended the scene and assisted the ambulance service with the extrication of a casualty. 

A spokesperson for DWFRS said: "We were called to a property in Boscombe Road, Amesbury at 10.38am today following reports of someone falling from height.

"Crews from Salisbury along with Hampshire appliances from Andover, including their aerial ladder platform, Basingstoke, and Eastleigh were mobilised to assist the ambulance service with the extrication of the casualty."

The fire service also said that firefighters used equipment, including the aerial ladder platform to "bring the casualty to safety", who was then left in the care of ambulance staff at the scene. 

Police also attended. A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said it was an "industrial accident" and that the casualty was taken to Salisbury District Hospital.
