ANDOVER motorists will have various road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.
Road closures are expected to cause moderate delays – with drivers facing holdups of between 10 minutes and half an hour.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that a closure along the A303 already in place is expected to carry on this week:
• A303, from 8pm September 23 to 6am October 12, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A303 and M3 eastbound and westbound, junction 8, link road closures for structures works, diversion via, junction 9 and return via A34 to Bullington.

And a further three closures will begin over the next seven days:
• A303, from 8pm October 6 to 6am October 7, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A303 eastbound, Longparish, slip road and lane closures for signage repairs, diversion via National Highways network.
• A303, from 8pm October 6 to 6am October 7, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A303 westbound, Salisbury Road, Lane closures for drainage work.
• A303, from 8pm October 7 to 6am October 8, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A303 eastbound, Thruxton to Sarson Lane, Lane closures for signage work.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
