DRIVERS in and around Test Valley will have nine National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And two of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing waits of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that four closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

• M3, from 8pm September 21 to 6am November 4, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M3 southbound to M27 eastbound, link road and lane closures for M27 Smart Motorways, diversion via Highways England network.

• A303, from 8pm September 16 to 6am November 5, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A303 eastbound and westbound, Thruxton to Salisbury Road, Lane closures for drainage work.

• M27, from 8pm February 7 to 6am November 9, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M27 westbound, junction 4, link road and lane closures for M27 Smart Motorways, diversion route via National Highways network.

• M27, from 9pm September 19 to 6am November 9, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M27 westbound, junction 5, slip road closure for M27 Smart Motorways, diversion via Highways England network.

And a further five closures will begin over the next seven days:

• A303, from 8pm November 1 to 6am November 2, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A303 eastbound, Hundred Acre to Winchester Road, Lane closures for horticulture work.

• A303, from 8pm November 1 to 6am November 2, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A303 westbound, Bullington, slip road and lane closures for electrical work, diversion via National Highways network.

• A303, from 9pm November 3 to 2am November 4, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A303 eastbound, Barton Stacey to Bullington Cross, Lane closure for Scottish and Southern Power works.

• A303, from 8pm November 9 to 6am November 10, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A303 both directions Barton Stacey to Overton, Lane closures for barrier work.

• M27, from 8pm November 14 to 6am November 19, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M27 eastbound, junction 3 to junction 4, carriageway closure for roadmarkings, diversion via National Highways and local authority network.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
