A GROUP of musicians aim to bring the Royal Albert Hall to Andover with a special Remembrance Day performance.
Andover Town Band will hold the performance on Friday, November 11 at Andover Baptist Church.
Starting at 7.30pm, the musical concert will consist of two halves.
The first half will be a musical concert presented by the band, featuring different musical themes which will lead into the second half, which will move to a more formal act of remembrance with a devotional piece of music, a drum head, and a two-minute silence.

The performance will be attended by Test Valley civic and political leaders including MP for North West Hampshire Kit Malthouse and the Mayor of Test Valley Cllr Alan Dowden, as well as a Deputy Lieutenant of Hampshire.
Event manager for Andover Town Band Andrew Scott said that the band hopes that this will become an annual event.
He said: “We’d like to try and establish it as an annual event for Andover, as a civic remembrance on November 11, being, obviously, on the day of The Armistice.
“And this is the first one of its time.”
All money raised from the performance will be donated to armed forces charity the Royal British Legion.
Andrew said that the group hopes to raise “at least £2,000” for RBL.
He continued: “Not everybody can get to the Royal Albert Hall, so this is going to the next best thing; We’ll be bringing it to you in Andover.
“And it’s remembering the people of Andover, it’s supporting the veterans in our community.

“There are lots of people that are carrying injuries from war and damage from war, and it’s your ability to share in that respect and also enjoying good music.”
Tickets for the performance cost £10 per adult, with children’s tickets costing £2.50.
