A SHOP and post office in Enham celebrated its 18th anniversary by sharing a cake with its customers.

Leslie Francis, who runs Enham Village Post Office and Store with her husband Tim, and other staff, celebrated the milestone birthday of the shop by serving, chatting and sharing a 'Dandelion' home-made chocolate yule log.

The couple have been living in Enham for the past 18 years. Ever since they set up their shop, it has been the hub for the community.

Leslie said: "It seems such a long time since we came to Enham as there have been so many great memories with such wonderful residents and customers."

Earlier this year, Leslie was announced as the face of the Post Office’s ‘Help Fight Hunger’ campaign, which sees them partner with the Trussell Trust to give 1p from every over-the-counter cash withdrawal to help fight hunger and poverty in the UK.

The campaign raised more than £250,000 for the two organisations.

During the pandemic, Leslie and Tim have also been helping the community in distributing food packages to people who could not get out of their homes.
