THE festive season is upon us and the team behind a Santa cruise have been busy planning opportunities for children to meet Father Christmas.

The Andover Santa Cruise has begun organising the Santa sleigh's movements.

This year Santa will once again be taking to the streets in his sleigh, touring housing estates around Andover, and a few pubs, with the aim of raising smiles and also funds for The Countess of Brecknock Hospice.

Santa cruises around housing estates are expected to take place from December 19 each night until December 23, with exact locations still to be confirmed.

For the first time this year, he will be conducting a 'Booze Cruise' where he will be visiting seven pubs in one evening.

A whole afternoon of fundraising on the very last day is being planned at The Anton Arms on December 23 before he heads off on the last night of his cruises.

He will also be hosting some grottos and visiting schools and a few side hustles to also raise funds for I Can Therapy Center and Andover Twenty1.
