WESTBROOK Close has been revealed as the most crime-ridden street in Test Valley, with numerous reports of violence and sexual offences to have happenedeither on or near there.

The most recent official police statistics show the number of crimes reported to Hampshire Constabulary in December 2022, and reveal where the most offences were recorded. 

In December alone, 734 crimes were reported in Test Valley, which were carried out in more than 300 streets. 

Crimes are reported as happening “in or near” a street.

Out of all of these crimes that happened, here's a look at the crime hot spots:

1) Westbrook Close, Andover - crimes reported: 14

Andover Advertiser:

Revealed as the street in Test Valley where the most crimes were reported on or near in December, there were five reports of violence and sexual offences and public order as well as cases of criminal damage and arson. 

2) Camelot Close, Andover - crimes reported: 11

Andover Advertiser:

The majority of the crimes reported on or near Camelot Close were violence and sexual offences with seven incidents. 

3) Bridge Street, Andover - crimes reported: 10

Andover Advertiser:

A wide range of crimes were reported here, varying from drugs, burglary, violence and sexual offences and public order.

4) George Yard, Andover crimes reported: 10

Andover Advertiser:

Five incidents of anti-social behaviour were reported here in December, as well as reports of shoplifting, public order and violence and sexual offences. 

5) Gallahad Close, Andover - crimes reported: 10

Andover Advertiser:

Five incidents of violence and sexual offences were reported on or near this road, alongside reports of criminal damage and arson, public order, drugs and other theft. 

6) Waterloo Court, Andover - crimes reported: nine

Andover Advertiser:

More than half of the reported crimes here were shoplifting. 

7) Dove Close, Andover - crimes reported: eight

Andover Advertiser:

Seven out of the eight reported crimes were violence and sexual offences, with the remaining one being criminal damage and arson.

8) Spring Mews, Andover - crimes reported: eight

Andover Advertiser:

Shoplifting was reported six times along Spring Mews in December, the remaining two reports were public order and violence and sexual offences. 

9) Yew Tree Walk, Andover - crimes reported: eight

Andover Advertiser:

Nearly all crimes reported on or near Yew Tree Walk were violence and sexual offences.

10) Poppy Close, Andover - crimes reported: seven

Andover Advertiser:

There were five reports of violence and sexual offences and two incidents of public order.
