An Art organisation in Andover is providing a lifeline to residents who are feeling isolated or unconnected.

Chapel Arts Studios (CAS) are running the programme called 'Nature Naturally', which is due to start on Wednesday, March 22.  The free, six-week art programme has been made possible thanks to funding from Hampshire County Council. CAS is based at The Chapel in St Mary’s Cemetery.

Chapel Arts Studios is a socially-engaged, contemporary visual arts organisation, which exists to discover, inspire and develop artists of all ages and skills.

They aim to deliver a programme of free art workshops to adults who have been impacted by Covid, isolation and ill health, to improve wellbeing through art practice centred around nature.

The project will open up a whole new world of creativity for participants, to rekindle skills in art that have been left aside, or to enjoy a new interest in a supportive group with like-minded people facing similar challenges.

Participants of all experience levels will be led by professional artist Elizabeth Hammond, who specialises in drawing using different materials.
