A SHIPTON Bellinger man who was caught drug driving on the A303 has been disqualified for 17 months.
Douglas Newsum, of Sarum Close, was stopped while driving a Ford Transit on the A303 at Andover on May 24. It was found that he had not less than 10 micrograms of delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol per litre of blood, which exceed the legal limit of two.
At Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court, the 42-year-old pleaded guilty to the offence.
Along with a driving ban, magistrates ordered Newsum to pay a £200 fine, £80 victim surcharge and £40 court costs.
