THE trust which runs hospitals in Andover, Basingstoke and Winchester is inviting the local community to a free virtual event, providing a behind-the-scenes look.

Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (HHFT) will host its annual general meeting on Thursday, September 21, with members of the public able to hear from a range of expert speakers, as well as members of the trust’s senior teams as part of the evening event.

Talks will be centred on how HHFT is working to deliver outstanding care for patients and local communities, placing a spotlight on work to enhance patient care and experience at every step. The trust will also present its annual report and accounts for 2022/23.

Chief executive Alex Whitfield said: “We are really excited to welcome everyone to this year’s annual general meeting as we celebrate the amazing work happening across Hampshire Hospitals to help provide great care for our communities.

“Together, we'll look at how Hampshire Hospitals colleagues and teams collaborate to wrap care around our patients, and how we are innovating and improving our services with this in mind. We’ll also share what's happening right now here at the hospitals, publishing our annual report and accounts.

“We’re hosting this year’s event online, once again, so anyone who would like to attend, can do so. Please do join us virtually on Thursday 21 September – we look forward to seeing you there!”
