MAGISTRATES have jailed a 27-year-old man for attacking a police officer in Andover.
Stephan Bassily was found guilty following a trial at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court of assaulting an emergency worker on October 23, 2020.

It was found that Bassily, from London, assaulted PC Hughes while she was exercising her functions as a police officer.
Bassily was jailed for four weeks and ordered to pay a £128 victim surcharge.
