ENHAM Alamein played host to a summer festival to celebrate the vital work of a charity that supports people with disabilities.

Enham Trust, in partnership with Enham Alamein Parish Council, organised the Enham Summer Fete on Saturday, September 16, bringing together the village and the surrounding community. In total, the event raised nearly £4,000.

The Enham Alamein Village Green transformed into a bustling hub of activity, with a wide array of stalls, attractions, and performances.

Highlights included an energetic live dance workshop by Move Momentum, street food vendors serving burgers, ice cream, and Thai cuisine, and the much-anticipated dog show, a favourite among attendees.

More than 100 different breeds of dogs took centre stage in the show, presided over by judge Samuel Aylett.

After spirited competition, it was Benson, owned by Kelly and Justin, who emerged as the show's champion.

Beyond the village green, the festivities extended to various locations in the village.

The historic Landale Wilson Hall underwent a magical transformation into a thrilling laser tag arena.

Luxurious sports cars were displayed outside the hall and at Cooper’s Chase, an Enham Trust independent living accommodation, just down the road.

A record number of volunteers came down to support the event’s proceedings and played an integral role in its success.

Music photographer Mark Holloway was one of the many volunteers in attendance, capturing the various activities enjoyed throughout the day on behalf of Enham Trust.

A fete spokesperson said: “It’s a tremendous team effort to put on such an event but seeing so many people including those we support enjoying themselves in our much-loved village makes it all worth it. We’re extremely proud of what we’ve achieved this year and after a few days of rest and recuperation, we’ve already turned our sights to the next; our annual Christmas Fayre on Saturday, November 25.”

More information about the Christmas Fayre can be found soon via Enham Trust’s social media and website.
