A DRIVER has been banned from the roads after being caught drink driving in Andover.

Sharnie Davies, of Marlborough, on Sunday, December 10, drove a vehicle on Ludgershall Road in Andover with 66 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35.

The 29-year-old pleaded guilty to the offence on Thursday, February 1 at Basingstoke Magistrates' Court.

Davies was disqualified from driving for 17 months and must pay a fine of £120.

Court costs of £25 and a surcharge fee of £48 must be paid.
