A FARM which promotes fulfilment and the opportunity to learn skills for life has received a donation from an Andover charity.

A donation of £600 was given by The Sofa Club to Origin Training Project to help with the installation of a log burner to help keep warm through the winter months.

The cheque was gratefully received by Emmeline Williams and Holly Ward, both staff at Origin Training Project.

Origin Farm is situated in the countryside just outside Andover, in Fullerton. It is a day opportunity that caters to a small group of adults with additional needs and learning difficulties.

The team make their own chutneys and jams and help to finance the facility. They wholeheartedly embrace self-sufficiency by cultivating their own produce within their farm polytunnel.

Those who attend Origin also have the opportunity to work with animals, as well as growing vegetables, get involved with woodwork projects and other craft projects.

The money was given by The Sofa Club, a small group of fundraisers who specialise in organising events and raising money for smaller charities where donations of any size can go a long way to providing services and offering support and help in the local area.

The Sofa Club organises small events for smaller charities where £500 to £600 goes a long way.
