AN ANDOVER road has been reopened after it was closed due to a burst water main.
The A343 Newbury Road was shut between Saxon Way and Northern Avenue, due to a burst water main causing a void under the carriageway.
The road was closed from February 27, until the evening of February 29 while Southern Water repaired the water main.

Residents expressed concerns about the closure due to its impact on nearby traffic, as drivers were diverted to Saxon Way and Redon Way.
According to Southern Water, the leak and void repair was prioritised to 'reopen the A343 as soon as it is safe to do so'.
The company previously said it estimated to finish by March 8, however, the closure may be lifted, and traffic management downgraded, before that date.
