CHILDREN and adults alike enjoyed an afternoon of fun in the sun at Longparish's summer fayre this weekend.

The event, held on Saturday, June 8, at Longparish CE Primary School, featured a range of activities which were enjoyed by people of all ages.

From hook a duck to therapy goats, entertainment (and drinks) flowed as the sun beamed down on the countryside.

The fayre, organised by the Friends of Longparish School, included animal encounters with therapy goats from the Three Bees project, a coconut shy and other traditional fete games, a plant and produce stall, woodland crowns with Hampshire Floral Co and woodland crafts with Longparish Little School.

There were also stalls selling pre-loved books, toys, children’s clothes, along with face painting and children’s crafts with St Nicholas Church.

Performances from Whitchurch JKA Karate Club, Integr8 Dance, the school choir and the school Maypole dancers were held in the arena.

Hungry attendees were catered to with a delicious barbecue while chocolate and bottle tombolas, a beer tent from Breach Farm Brewing and a Pimms stall were enjoyed by the older guests in attendance.
