A VILLAGE shop has done it again, as it was awarded once more for its excellence and services to the community.
Enham Shop and Post Office notched another two awards, being named Best Community Retailer at the 2025 SPAR South West Awards and one of four champion retailers by Marie Curie.
With her husband, Tim Francis, 64, away, it fell to postmistress Leslie Francis, 65, to attend the ceremony in Torquay on Thursday, July 3.
"It's a community award - that's the most important thing," Mrs Francis said, having opened the shop and returned from the seaside town under 24 hours later.

She continued: "That's just the way things work. There are so many retailers in areas around the country that work hard to be part of their communities.
"To be named Community Retailer of the Year is amazing. It means we make a difference as Team Enham.
"As I said before, [...] we are all about people. Everyone, so many people, come a distance to enjoy the atmosphere, the welcome, and they can rely on us."
According to the postmistress, Enham Shop and Post Office was recognised by Marie Curie for its help in raising £4 million raised by Spar for the cancer charity.
Mrs Francis could not say how much money her business contributed, but highlighted, "During March, we do all sorts of things to support Marie Curie.
"There were four winners of that award, and it was a privilege to be able to bring it home."
There are three key ingredients to the shop's success: "consistency, dedication, and a friendly approach."
The postmistress was asked if she thought these qualities would help Team Enham retain its award next year. She said: "There's no reason why not."
She was also asked about how the business was this summer. She said: "The nice weather has helped, and it's great to see people out and about."
Following the award ceremony, the shop and post office posted news of its recognition on Facebook. Nearly 100 people commented with congratulations.

This year's awards were held after an annual trade show and conference. Hosted by regional SPAR wholesaler Appleby Westward, they recognised performance, innovation and community contribution across the SPAR South West network.
The evening brought together store owners, supplier partners and SPAR leadership to recognise those raising the bar in convenience retail.
