A driver from Andover has been banned for drink driving after being stopped while over the legal alcohol limit.

Kosh Gurung, 35, of Merino Road, pleaded guilty at Basingstoke Magistrates' Court on Thursday, August 7 to driving with 55 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, above the legal limit of 35 microgrammes.

The offence took place on Monday, July 21 on Doughty Road, Andover.

The court imposed a driving ban of 15 months.

However, this period can be reduced by 15 weeks if Gurung completes an approved drink-drive rehabilitation course by May 23, 2026.

Gurung was also ordered to pay a total of £673, which includes a fine, costs and a surcharge.
