Andover Choral has hosted a singing technique workshop.

The event took place on September 13 and was led by Hannah Sandhu at Rookwood School.

Hannah Sandhu is an Amesbury-based conductor and teacher who currently directs three local choirs.

During the three-hour-long event, attendees learnt about singing and breathing techniques.

Attendees competed against each other using the singing techniques they had been taught during the session.

A total of 25 people attended the workshop.

They each came from various choirs located in and around Andover.

The day was organised by Frances Lynn, who is the secretary of Andover Choral.

The session included musical rounds that warmed everyone up and had everyone laughing.

Sue Woodley, the chair of Andover Choral, thanked Hannah for the teaching and looked forward to hearing the improved technique in ACS weekly rehearsals.
