Donkey walks, cream teas and countryside views are all part of a new sponsorship scheme.

The Boaz Project at Hill Farm, in Sutton Scotney, is inviting the public to sponsor its two resident donkeys, Dominic and Dave.

Sponsors can choose their favourite donkey and enjoy an annual donkey walk followed by a cream tea.

Cat Phillips, events and volunteer co-ordinator, said: "A Boaz donkey sponsorship would make a perfect Christmas or birthday gift.

"It’s a simple way to show love for animals, enjoy a walk with your chosen donkey – and be part of something a little bit special."

Sponsorship costs £60 a year or £5 per month and includes a sponsorship certificate plus regular updates about life on the farm.

The Boaz Project is a Christian-based charity, and offers wellness activities involving animals and horticulture.

The farm is home to seven sheep, two guinea pigs and a flock of hens.

Walking with Dominic and Dave offers a gentle way to enjoy the outdoors, with the donkeys leading relaxed afternoon walks through fields.

More than 30 adults with learning disabilities regularly attend the project.

Each sponsorship helps support the charity’s work as directed by its trustees.
