The awards are designed to improve ‘away from home’ toilet provision and involve unannounced inspections at thousands of locations nationwide.
Facilities are judged on criteria such as cleanliness, accessibility, décor, maintenance, hand washing and drying equipment, and overall management.
Becky Wall, managing director of the Loo of the Year Awards 2025, said: "The toilets at The John Russell Fox have been designed and fitted out to a very high standard and are both clean and well maintained.
"The pub deserves its platinum grading."
The grading system includes bronze, silver, gold, platinum, platinum plus and diamond, with only the highest-quality facilities earning the top awards.
