That is why the work of Age Concern Hampshire and our volunteers is so important.
Age Concern Hampshire is proud to announce the extension of its partnership with SNG (The Sovereign Network Group), to continue running social groups across Basingstoke, Overton, Whitchurch, Fordingbridge and Totton.
These groups provide welcoming spaces where older people can come together, take part in activities, and improve both physical and mental wellbeing.
Gentle exercise, engaging activities and lively conversation help participants stay active and connected while building friendships.
At the heart of these social groups are our volunteers.

They help run activities, serve refreshments and create a warm and friendly atmosphere for everyone attending.
We are currently looking for new volunteers to support these groups in Basingstoke, Overton, Whitchurch, Fordingbridge and Totton.
If you are interested in helping older people stay active, connected and engaged in their community, please contact Age Concern Hampshire on 01962 868545 to find out how you can get involved.
Volunteering with Age Concern Hampshire goes far beyond social groups.
Our volunteers support day centres, foot care clinics, information and form-filling services, administration, and much more, while our trustees play a vital role in overseeing the charity, shaping strategy, and supporting the delivery of services.
Every role matters, offering the chance to make a real difference in the lives of older people.
Volunteers receive guidance and training to help them feel confident in their role, and in return gain new skills, social connections and the satisfaction of supporting their community.
If you would like to help older people stay active, connected and engaged, we are currently looking for volunteers across Hampshire.
