A round-up of recent Andover cases heard at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court.

Phoebe Spanswick, 19, from Mimosa Court, Andover, admitted failing to comply with a community protection notice, which restricted her movements and possession of certain items, on December 3.

The notice specifically prohibited her from entering places of immediate danger where she would be unable to call emergency services and from carrying any item that could reasonably be used to cause injury or harm to herself or another person.

She appeared before magistrates on December 4.

The court imposed a £40 fine but made no order for costs after accepting that the time already spent in custody was sufficient.

She must pay the fine by January 1, 2026.

Murphy Sorensen, 20, of Springfield Close, Andover, appeared in court on December 2.

He admitted driving while over the legal limit for a controlled drug.

On September 3, in Stoke Road, Middle Wyke, Sorensen was found to have 3.4 micrograms of THC per litre of blood.

This episode led to him being disqualified from driving for 18 months.

He was ordered to pay a total of £730, which includes fines and costs.

The full sum must be paid by December 31, 2025.
