From late‑night abuse to dangerous drink-driving, magistrates have been busy dealing with offenders from Basingstoke, Andover and the surrounding villages.

Here is a round-up of the latest cases from Andover heard in Basingstoke Magistrates' Court.

Harassment

A woman who subjected another to threatening abuse in Basingstoke has been given a community order with alcohol treatment and unpaid work.

Daria Boguslawska, 36, of Tailor Close, Andover, admitted using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour on October 29, 2025, causing harassment, alarm or distress, in breach of section 4A of the Public Order Act 1986. She was handed a community order running until August 10, 2027, including six months of alcohol treatment under probation, a six‑month ban on drinking alcohol or using intoxicating substances in public places in Andover except licensed premises, up to 20 rehabilitation activity days and 60 hours of unpaid work.

Boguslawska also admitted failing to surrender to bail at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court on November 27, 2025, having been released on bail from Basingstoke police station the previous month. That offence was dealt with by way of the same community order. She was ordered to pay £114 compensation.

Drink driving

A drink-driver caught in Andover has been banned from the road for 15 months.

Samuel Masser, 27, of Linkenholt Road, Linkenholt, admitted driving in Roman Way, Andover, on December 28, 2025, with 51 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, when the legal limit is 35. He pleaded guilty at court.

Masser was fined £600, ordered to pay £85 costs and a £240 surcharge, with the total due by March 12, 2026. He was also disqualified from driving for 15 months, a ban that can be reduced by up to 15 weeks if he completes an approved drink-drive rehabilitation course by November 26, 2026.

Drink driving

Another drink-driver was caught in Tadley on Christmas Day.
