A DRUG driver who was clocked going more than 100mph on the M3 has been banned from the roads.
Mason Greenfield, 24, of Christchurch Road, Bournemouth, was caught driving at 103mph on the M3 in Basingstoke with cannabis in his blood above the specified limit, on July 19, 2024.
Appearing in Basingstoke Magistrates' Court on March 24 this year, nearly two years after the offences took place, Greenfield changed his plea to both offences to guilty and was sentenced by District Judge Stephen Apted.
The court heard that police had clocked Greenfield's speeding using a Cleartone PUMA speed device at 11.30pm on the date of the offence.

Prosecutor Serena Edwards detailed that a subsequent drugs test showed Greenfield had 2.1 micrograms of Delta‑9‑tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) per litre of blood – just over the legal limit of 2 micrograms.
Greenfield was handed a 17-month driving disqualification for the drug-driving offence and fined £155.
For the speeding offence, his driving record was endorsed, but no separate penalty was imposed. His guilty plea was taken into account in sentencing.
