The Easter Bunny made a heartwarming arrival by helicopter.

The special visit took place at Naomi House & Jacksplace in Sutton Scotney, where children, young adults and their families enjoyed a day filled with festive fun and surprises.

The Easter Bunny was flown in by the Gazelle Squadron Display Team, who handed out Easter eggs during a day of fun organised by the care team.

Claire Potterton, play and activities team leader at Naomi House & Jacksplace, said: "We had a lovely day that brought smiles to all the children and young adults we care for and their families.

"To see everyone so relaxed and happy was really special and it was the perfect day all-round."

The day was packed with activities including a visit from some alpacas from Barefoot Barns, Salisbury, who gave everyone the chance to walk them and have a pat and a stroke.

Children also took part in Easter biscuit decorating, a scavenger hunt, crafting baskets and flower crowns, and Easter themed messy play.

The catering team at the hospices even created helicopter and alpaca-shaped biscuits for the occasion.

Each family received a chocolate egg from the Easter Bunny.

The Gazelle Squadron Display Team has been supporting the hospices with these visits for more than a decade.

Peter Evans, a crew member from the squadron, said: "This is the 13th year that we’ve taken the Easter bunny to Naomi House & Jacksplace.

"My daughter came here and it’s a super way to say thank you for all the brilliant care that she received.

"We also love putting smiles on lots of faces.

"Our Easter visit is one of the highlights of our year."
