Andover U3A celebrates 30th anniversary with a party

Andover U3A marked its 30th anniversary with a celebration at its annual general meeting.

Formed for retired and semi-retired people, the Andover U3A held its event at the Fairground Hall in Weyhill on Tuesday, May 19.

The organisation brings together a wide range of individuals to learn new skills, play games, exercise, make new friends and generally enjoy life.

The event was marked by the cutting of a celebration cake.

Those taking part included David Gollings, the current chair, along with two long-serving members, David and Beryl Laurillard, the original chair Haydn Watkins and Jo Ford, another longstanding member.

With more than 30 interest groups, the organisation remains open to welcoming new members.
