A ROUND-UP of the latest cases involving Andover and the surrounding area, including a man handed a community order and restraining order for a harassment campaign and a drug driver who was already banned from the roads caught behind the wheel.

A MAN who bombarded a woman with abusive emails over several months has been given a community order and banned from contacting her except through official channels.

Jack Yates, 32, of The Hexagon, Andover, pleaded guilty on March 16 to harassment without violence. Between July 6 and September 29, 2025, in Andover, he pursued a course of conduct that amounted to harassment by repeatedly sending unwanted emails of an abusive and offensive nature.

Magistrates sentenced Yates on June 2 to a community order running until December 1, 2027, including a 26‑day programme and 230 hours of unpaid work. He was ordered to pay £85 in prosecution costs and a £114 surcharge, to be paid in monthly instalments of £50 from June 30, 2026.

He was also made subject to a restraining order until June 2, 2029, banning him from contacting his victim directly or indirectly except via official channels.

A MAN who was caught drug-driving while already disqualified and uninsured has been given a suspended prison sentence.

Jason Raspini, 38, of Camelot Close, Andover, pleaded guilty to three offences arising from the same incident on Picket Twenty Way, Andover, on December 26, 2025 — driving with a proportion of THC in his blood above the specified limit of 2 micrograms per litre, driving while disqualified, and using a vehicle without insurance.

Magistrates sentenced Raspini on May 15 to one month's imprisonment, suspended for 12 months, and disqualified him from driving for 40 months. He was ordered to pay costs of £85. His guilty pleas were taken into account.
