England’s semi-final against Argentina is one of the biggest games the men’s national team has played in decades, with a place in the World Cup final on the line and six decades of hurt hanging over it.

England haven’t reached a World Cup final since they lifted the trophy at Wembley in 1966, so this clash with the reigning champions feels like a once-in-a-generation night for fans.

Here are ten pubs in Andover and on the outskirts where supporters can settle in for the big match on Wednesday, 15 July, 8 pm kick-off.

Chestnut Tree, New Street – Greene King pub with plenty of screens, solid food and a busy yet friendly atmosphere, already advertising World Cup screenings and late opening.
