A century of care, compassion and community was celebrated at a special centenary event.
Andover War Memorial Hospital marked 100 years since opening in 1926 at a commemorative event on Tuesday, July 7.
Staff, volunteers, governors, community representatives and dignitaries, including Andover mayor Councillor Tony Burley, attended the event at the hospital’s Peaches Restaurant.
Sue Harriman, chief executive of Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, said: "Today is not just about looking back at a building or a place, but about celebrating a century of care, compassion and community.

"Reaching 100 years is a remarkable achievement, and one that reflects the enduring importance of this hospital to the people of Andover.
"As we reflect on the past 100 years, we also look to the future with confidence.

Former and current colleagues shared photographs and memories from their time at the hospital.
Displays charted the hospital’s journey from a community-funded war memorial to a modern healthcare facility.
The King sent warm wishes to those at the event, marking the milestone in the hospital’s history.
The hospital was built as a tribute to servicemen who died in the First World War, backed by community support and the donation of a three-acre site by businessman Henry Gamman, who lost both sons in the conflict.
The hospital still offers diagnostics, endoscopy, physiotherapy, rehabilitation, maternity, phlebotomy, minor injuries and palliative care through the Countess of Brecknock Hospice.
The event also honoured thousands of staff, volunteers and supporters who shaped the hospital’s history.
A former staff member recalled friendships made and lives touched at the hospital.
A video featured congratulations from colleagues across Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
Historic photographs of the official opening ceremony offered a glimpse of the hospital’s early days.
Its roots lie in a small cottage hospital established in Junction Road in 1876.
Field Marshal Viscount Allenby officially opened the Charlton Road hospital in 1926, and it joined the NHS in 1948.
Centenary celebrations continue at Hampshire Hospitals Charity’s Party at the Pavilion at Wherwell Cricket Club on Saturday, August 1.
The free family event, held after the charity's Colour Run, will feature stalls, live music and refreshments.
