Hundreds of nominations have been received in recognition of staff delivering outstanding care across Hampshire.
Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (HHFT) has announced the shortlist for its 2026 Hampshire Hospitals People Awards, now in their fourth year and celebrating staff at hospitals in Basingstoke, Winchester and Andover.
This year, a record-breaking 904 nominations were received across 13 award categories, with entries coming from patients, members of the public and colleagues.

Sue Harriman, chief executive at HHFT, said: "Receiving more than 900 nominations for this year’s People Awards is truly amazing and reflects the difference our colleagues make to patients, their loved ones, and our communities every day.
"Reading through the nominations has been really inspiring and the stories shared are a powerful reminder of the compassion, kindness, dedication, and teamwork shown across Hampshire Hospitals, and of the extraordinary people we are fortunate to have working here.

"We are incredibly proud of all they have achieved and look forward to celebrating their contributions at our special People Awards ceremony later this year."
The awards recognise a wide range of clinical and non-clinical staff across the trust.

The awards ceremony will take place this autumn.
The event is funded by Hampshire Hospitals Charity, which provides support to patients, staff and volunteers across the trust.
The charity is inviting members of the public to get involved or consider sponsoring this year’s awards.
