Vigo Road near Andover town centre has been fully resurfaced, winning praise from councillors.
Hampshire County Council said the scheme forms part of wider investment into improving roads across the county.
Councillor Kirsty North, county councillor for Andover North, welcomed the upgrade.
She said: "I am delighted that Vigo Road has been fully resurfaced.

"We have invested an additional £15m in road resurfacing at Hampshire County Council and that means residents are seeing action on the ground here in Andover over the dry summer months."
The works, which were carried out overnight to minimise disruption, included resurfacing the carriageway and repainting road markings.
Test Valley Borough Council’s St Mary’s ward councillor, Iris Andersen, said the project had been completed to a high standard.
She said: "All of the road has been resurfaced, all of the yellow lines have been put in.
"The last thing they need is to put in the white lines.
"The workmen did a very good job and of course carried out the work overnight which must be very difficult to do.
"As well they managed to do it with little disruption.
"I am just very, very pleased that it has been done."
