A children’s hospice has been shortlisted for a prestigious national charity award.

Naomi and Jack’s, a hospice for babies, children and young adults, is in the running for Medium Charity of the Year at the Third Sector Awards 2026.

In the past 11 months, it has supported around 700 families from across central southern England and delivered 400 admissions.

Mark Smith, chief executive of Naomi and Jack’s, said: "Being shortlisted for Medium Charity of the Year is a powerful recognition of the compassion, expertise and determination that define Naomi and Jack’s.

"Every day, our team goes above and beyond to ensure babies, children and young adults receive the very best care, and this nomination reflects their extraordinary commitment.

"We are proud of how far we have come as we near our 30th anniversary year, and even more excited about what we can achieve together as we continue to reach more families and deliver the specialist care they deserve."

The charity, which rebranded earlier this year, is taking steps to establish itself as one of the leading voices in children and young adults’ hospice care.

Naomi and Jack’s has held an ‘outstanding’ CQC rating since 2016.

The hospice also runs a specialist Duchenne muscular dystrophy clinic at Jack’s Place, the only young adults hospice in Southern England.
